London Bridge Terror Attack 2019

On 29th November 2019, two people were killed and three injured in a terrorist attack near London Bridge. The attack was during a conference being held on Friday at Fishmonger's Hall at the North end of the Bridge. Perpetrator Usman Khan, 28, began the attack inside the hall at 13.58 GMT, and after being forced out of the building by staff holding him behind the doors, video footage can be seen of the attacker being held back by staff holding a fire extinguisher and a whale tusk seized from a wall mount within the building. Khan was shot down by police with the belief that he was wearing a suicide vest, although this later turned out to be a very convincing hoax.
